Superman or Clay Pot?

Noah, in Superhero mode, at New Tribes' Highlands Headquarters

Sorry for the delay in posting, we have been up orienting at the main NTM base in Papua New Guinea. While there we were very grateful to be able to spend Thanksgiving with Elizabeth's sister Emily (and some other dear friends).

We wanted to share with you all how much we value your involvement in our work here. We have received encouraging emails, packages, even a couple of phone calls over and above your regular prayer and financial support. Thanks so very much.

Please keep up your praying for us and for missionaries everywhere. We have been sobered again by the many battles that are facing our coworkers in the bush. Situations like:
  • Tribal conflict - one of our mission locations is at the border between two tribal groups. One tribe has been a continual source of conflict (there have been murders in the missionaries front yard). The situation is so critical (missionaries and their children are unsafe) right now that the missionaries have had to leave the bush while they look for a place to relocate away from the fighting.
  • Health - Some good friends of ours recently were forced to leave a remote work because of severe health issues.
  • Isolation - one family with all of the responsibilities for a baby tribal church in a very remote location feels quite overwhelmed.
  • Safety - NTM's helicopter had an accident this last week and is no longer able to provide supplies and med-evac support for those missionaries in helicopter-only locations (see above - isolation).
  • Children - several families that we know are working through hard educational or spiritual issues with their kids.
We are reminded daily that we are vessels of clay. Yet He is able to accomplish His will through us.
Thanks for your prayers!
Nate for the Cs
