Learners still...

Thanks so much for praying for us this week. We are so very blessed to be partners together with you all in reaching the people of PNG with Christ’s love.

“Knock knock” – Tim

“Who’s there?” – Elizabeth

“No…wait until I say ‘knock knock’ twice.” – Tim

“Ok.” – Elizabeth

“Knock knock…knock knock.”

“Who’s there?”

“Will you please stop knocking on my door…(Hilarious laughter)”

Ever had a 5 year old telling you jokes? Yup, the humor quotient in our house is on the way up along with the occurrence of cryptic  punchlines. That sudden surge in jokes in the house has served as a reminder that we still need to be actively adapting to PNG so that when all is said and done, people get the message.  While we are comfortable in so many ways here, taking up the responsibility of helping other couples launch into life here has encouraged to us to go back over how we are living out Christ’s message in our daily routines and how we will be living as we look to move into Pal in January. We are learning more everyday.

Things you can pray for this week:

·         Multiplied time – it seems that our responsibilities have picked up quite a bit between preparing things for the bush, helping with orientation for a new family, and keeping up with communication.

·         Health – it is burning season here and allergies/cold/sinus issues abound. Elizabeth especially has had regular headaches. (not to mention all our laundry smells like smoke)

·         Plans for moving into Pal. Lots of people will be involved in moving into the bush. We are going to need NTM’s helicopter to be available  (not until mid-late January), the finances to be available to pay for flights, our regional chairman will need to come in and make an official presentation of us to the Pal people, and some guys to help on each end of the helicopter supply route. We’ll also need to find some pigs and some other special foods for the big party that we need to throw thanking the Pal people for their help.

·         Our partners return from the Philippines. Looks like Mason’s hand is doing much better, but he still has a painful/numb finger. They’ll be traveling overnight Wednesday night and arriving here on Thursday.

Thanks so very much,

Nate for the fam
