Moving Days
Last night, we finished packing the last of the bags. Today, we'll finish
the final cleaning of the house here at NTM's Madang center. This
afternoon we'll be working with the team here to weigh up the building
materials, three months worth of food, and other household goods that need
to be taken in with us. Tomorrow, I (Nate) will be heading up the road to
camp at the spot where we'll shuttle things in from. Wednesday, the guys
will head into Pal to get things set-up and our families will follow
Saturday morning. It is another beginning for us; a time to look forward to the unknown road
ahead, a time to look back on the many places we have been and the lessons
that we have learned, and a time to take a tighter grip on the hand of our
Father who is faithfully walking with us. This is likely to be the last update for about a month because we will be
setting things up and do not yet know if our email system will be working. Would you please be praying for us: - Our family for adjustment and health.
- Relationships with the Pal people and our Co-workers
- Good meetings with the school board members at our shuttle point. There
has been some concern that the previous headmaster was enriching himself
by accepting bribes for our use of the soccer field. (In truth, no money
has changed hands - there were just many rumors)
- Sanity for Elizabeth as she tries to keep three active boys occupied for
four days in an empty house.
- Clear heads and unity as we navigate through the early days of
relationship building. Thank you all so very much for keeping us in your prayers! The Claasens.
