Empty Box, stuck in Customs
NTM’s helicopter, waiting for the missing engine…
Equipment Malfunction
So what do you do when a routine inspection reveals cracks in the helicopter’s jet engine? In most places, you’d pack that engine right up and send it off to the experts who would promptly make it as good as new and send it right back. Now, in PNG, you call the experts, they send you the special box that the engine must be packed in, and the (empty!) box disappears into the labyrinth that is commonly called customs for the next month. The good news about the extra delay in fixing the helicopter is that the guys found a couple of other things that needed attention on it and will now have a chance to straighten the whole thing out. The bad news? We aren’t sure if the engine will be back in time for our helicopter to provide transport for our regional conference at the end of September.
Will you please pray with us that the engine box will clear customs soon?
School
Our kids have the opportunity to share the experience of school in a classroom for the next four days before we head back into the bush. They are at the same time excited and concerned. Could you pray for them that the experience would be a great one?
Other things
You can be praying for us for these other things as well:
· That logistics and supply buying would go smoothly as we prepare for our next stint in the bush.
· That we would be able to get equipped to better help Tim with his learning needs.
· Thank the Lord for the medical help and good health that we have enjoyed this break.
· Thank Him as well for the great time with our fellow missionaries on the support center.
Again, we so appreciate you all,
Nate for the family
