10 Years and Counting

Refreshment

You might have noticed that it has been nearly a month since we have posted an update. We are not trying to go stealth, just taking care of the things that needed to be taken care of.

Because of what we do and where we do it, we are not able to get away as a couple very often (and never overnight), so what a joy to be able to take three whole days together without distraction this last week in honor of our tenth anniversary. Honestly we had to try to remember what it was like to have an uninterrupted conversation (we did get the hang of it pretty quick though).

In the Saddle

So, rested and refreshed, we are climbing on for a busy couple of months in the greater Sacramento area. The kids are having their first swim lessons today and will be experiencing things like libraries, museums, and field trips for the first time in their lives. We’ll be working with local churches and sharing about what God has been doing in and through us in PNG these last three years as well as spending lots of time revising and reviewing our language data. We are working on putting together some video and photos of the work as well and will be posting those online for your perusal.

Pray

We’ve been thinking a bunch about prayer lately – especially the amazing part about how prayer allows us to be a part of God's work in more than one place at a time (think about it – you can be involved in His work all over the world - as well as at home – by spending time talking to Him!) You can be praying for us as we encourage people and share with them. We’d like to see many more people praying for the Pal work because we know that the outcome does not depend on our own strength or plans or wisdom. Would you help us by encouraging others to pray?

Thanks a bunch,

Nate for the Claasens.
