Personalities shining through… Noah, Tim, and Elias…

Pack…Repack…Repeat…

It has been more than a month since our last post and, while we are sorry for the delay, we have been consumed by the upcoming transition back to New Guinea. I’ve scratched my head over many different puzzlers (how many pair of socks do you go through in a year?), torn it out at the varying airline baggage requirements (“OK, so if I understand it right, in L.A. we’ll change our 10 fifty pound boxes into 6 – 72 pound boxes, five carry-ons and a fuzed 4th and 5th vertebrae…”), and worried over many details that probably won’t matter in the end. We are going back, tasting at the same time the bitterness of goodbyes and the sweet purpose and urgency of the task ahead.

Lasting Flavor

That said, we have been able to snatch a few savory moments with our families and our church families. What a sweet time of fellowship this 8 months has been. Thanks so very much for making it possible and praying us through all the hectic and happy days.

Which brings us to:

Urgent prayer is needed for the boys paperwork to go through. We sent off required entry information for them nearly 5 weeks ago and still are waiting for confirmation from the PNG government (we’ll still have to send their passports off to Washington to get the necessary visa stamps so that they can come with us into the country.) Without that paperwork, they’ll not be able to enter the country.

Testing

Thanks so much for praying for our friend Walik, we were very much encouraged by your responses to our plea. At the same time, we’re sad to say, she ended up losing the baby. It has been a rough month for our partners as they have seen lots of illness and death among our Pal friends. Would you continue to pray fervently that the Lord would provide abnormally good health for the Pal people so that they would soon have the chance to hear His good news?

Again, thanks so much for your partnership,

Nate for the family.
