Literacy Primer Construction

This is the planning layout for the stories for pages 13 and 14 of our first primer.

Say What?

What can you say in English with only four letters (and no consonants in the final position)? Go ahead, try it.  We challenge you to say more than one complete sentence. This is actually the challenge that we are facing this week as we lay out the primers for the Pal literacy program. Choosing which letters to teach in which order is a real challenge. On top of that, once we have chosen those letters, we are needing good stories to tell with those same letters. Please be praying for us as we seek to put in place a good, balanced program.

See Spot Run!

Many Pal people are coming alongside us to work on the primers this week. Some will be drawing pictures, some will be helping with stories, some will simply be there for moral support and encouragement. We are also thankful to the two missionary consultants who have come in to help guide our work. Along with them, a couple of PNG citizen believers are here to help us both in the work and to help us assess our relationship and community understanding.  Please pray for us all as we put in the long hours to bring this work forward. We desire wisdom and unity (and great senses of humor…)

Thanks again for praying.
