Second Graduates! Building Literacy.
***Sorry that you have not heard from us for more than a month, we have been trying to get updates out from the bush and have had a hard time doing it. This post was written 3 weeks ago. Thanks for understanding***
This is just a short photo update. We are so grateful to you all for helping to keep us here. With less than 2 months to go before our target dates to begin evangelistic lessons, we are pretty busy. Please be praying as we finish up the following over the next 2 months - a shelter for the meeting area, drafting and checking 250 verses for the lessons, drafting and checking a further 12 lessons that should be done before we begin, and taking a short break as a family before we move into the intensive time of teaching.
Thanks so much for your partnership, Nate for the family
Our second class of Pal Literacy School graduates. We were pleasantly surprised about how well this class did over all. There are only 2 of them who are not ready to move on to the next steps.
Our literacy school teachers and support teachers hand out diplomas.
Practicing for the graduation ceremony. Friends and family began to gather.
On the left, Elizabeth hanging out with a graduate – one of our translation helpers. On the right – celebrating in style – with smoked rat going into the pot.
There was lots of excitement about their skills. This young man did very well in our class and has begun to help us with office work.
