You know your drama is reaching them when…
Teaching continues to draw a crowd. Thanks for praying for the Pal people.
You know that the drama is reaching them when the village dogs get into it.
So, yesterday when we presented the original sin, there is a part of the lesson that puts focus on Satan an his work in deceiving man. We dramatized this by having Chris come and beat me up, leaving me blind and helpless. He then came back sometime later offering “good” things gaining my trust and eventually pushing me off a cliff. The play is pretty intense – my kids hated watching us practice it (who wants to hear their dad screaming in agony…) But we explain it beforehand and afterwards and it brings the message home to them.
So… in the actual teaching, Chris sneaks up from behind and starts beating me, and a dog, hearing my cries, jumps up and bites Chris right in the seat of his pants.
We managed to finish the skit, but had a lot of jesting later. (“Hey Chris are you riding a little crooked in the saddle?”)
Please keep praying for strength and wisdom as we present the story to our friends.
