Restoration

Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently.

Coming Back

This is a picture of the first (that we know of) Mesi believer asking Chris a question about Romans. He was heavily involved in translation and lesson development with us early in the work. Then, after we finished our original evangelistic lessons, he began to listen to false teaching about gaining material wealth. He and another man then set themselves up as teachers and confused many of the Mesi believers. We publicly confronted them and removed them from their responsibilities in 2016. After a time, he came to us humbly asking for forgiveness. Since then, he has listened quietly and well and has been supporting true teaching in his home and community. We’ve seen real humility and growth in his life. What a joy then to plan with him for slow restoration into responsibilities in the Mesi church and in our literacy school! Thanks to the Lord for transforming lives in Mesi-land.
