A Picture Bible for the Mesi Church
"These commandments I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." Deuteronomy 6:6-7
Last year, we shared our deep desire to provide a resource for the next generation of the Mesi church. You prayed and gave towards the project, and we're so excited to share with you that we have a printed and entirely laminated 'picture Bible' for Mesi families to use! It's full color and, like I said, completely laminated. Why am I so excited about that? Mesi life is HARD on books. They fall in the mud. The baby spits up on it. Or pees on it. Or the pig eats a few pages. We're hoping that these books will be able to take it and still be useful for years to come.
Just in case you're wondering, Yalu 1 means, literally, "Leaf 1" or Book 1. Yalu 1 begins with Creation and ends with stage set for the birth of Jesus. Yalu 2 will be printed in the next few months, and we are looking forward to getting both books into the hands of believing parents SOON!
And for a random final thought, yes, those are mangoes in the background. It's mango season! They cost about 45 cents each and we've been freezing them for smoothies.

- Pray for parents to make the choice to purchase the book for their families. Your gifts covered 95% of the cost of the book, but we will still ask families to pay a small amount (1-2$) so that they will value it.
- Pray for kids and teens to listen and be drawn again by the story of Jesus, the promised Redeemer.
- Pray for the Mesi church to be strengthened as families read His Word together around their fires.
