It is THAT funny sometimes...

'I didn't have a papaya.' - explanation given by a friend whose parting gift was a fish instead
'No lattes today...no coffee either... no, we don't have any Cokes...' - Village 'Coffee Shop' owner, standing under a sign advertising all of the above.
'Betel nut, just betel nut' - Same 'Coffee Shop' owner when asked what he actually has in stock.
'Since you took my picture, you owe me 10 Kina.' - Basket seller at the market wanting $3.78 (after the fact) in exchange for the picture that I had taken with his permission
This last week was chock full of things to do for us. We spent time preparing a house for the arrival of some fellow missionaries. Nate got to tour a group of visitors around Madang for a day (he relished the opportunity to expand their culinary experience - if you catch our meaning...) We've also spent several evenings picking the brains of missionaries who are now working with young churches. We spent time as a family talking and thinking about Easter, praying for the folks here in PNG who have yet to understand the significance of the cross and the impact of the empty tomb.
We certainly hope and pray that you are awestruck once again by the impossible restoration, incomprehensible grace, and powerful love of God this Easter week. You can pray the same for us.
He is Risen Indeed.
