Glimpses of Life in PNG

Have you ever smelled cocoa beans drying in the sun? It is a common sight in the foothills of the Adelbert Mountains. BTW - if finished chocolate smelled anything like the beans, there would be a major reduction in chocoholics everywhere.

So, the power was out here for four days last week... turns out that a family that owns some land over which the power lines pass decided they were not getting enough money from the power company and promptly felled a tree on the lines. It took four days of negotiations before the work crews were allowed back in to fix the lines.

Just wanted to share a little of PNG life with you all.
