Riding in style, Tim and Elias love to race around together.
Eagerness
One of the many things that the Lord has been teaching us (using parenthood to do it) is about our perspective on time. Whenever we are talking about an activity with our kids, we hear the all-important question: ‘Can we do it now?’ For them, anything that can possibly be done or happen is either classed in the immediate or in the nebulous and incomprehensible future. They have an eagerness to experience all that we talk about that has challenged our hearts. We would like to grow in our eagerness for what the Lord has for us every day, to meet each of His promptings with ‘Can we do it now?’, looking to Him to do fascinating things in and through us.
BEWARE: spider bites do strange things to little boys…
A Trilogy of Trilogies
Our time left in the States can be thought of as a trilogy of trilogies. Three weeks more in Humboldt County, then three weeks in the Vacaville area, and our last three weeks back in Humboldt County. We’ve lots of things to do, still meeting with churches and friends, purchasing things that we’ll be needing for the next couple of years, and packing and storing things that we might want when we get back. It kind of hit home last week when we purchase our final one-way tickets from Australia to New Guinea, that we have had such a short amount of time to share with all of the folks who are so special to us.
Things to bring before the throne:
· Praise that we have been healthy and able to meet the duties that we have.
· Praise that schooling for the boys is nearing completion for the year.
· Praise we have lots of fresh strength on our prayer team
· Pray that the kids passports (which had to be renewed) are returned quickly to facilitate the paperwork that must be done before our reentry to PNG
· Pray that communications would be restored to our partners in Pal. (A cell phone tower that we were depending on seems to be flaky at best)
· Pray for continued discussions with our potential partners who are also freshly returned to PNG.
· Pray for joy and effective use of these months with friends and family.
We so much appreciate you all.
