A Joyful Christmas!

Merry Christmas!  We want to share a few pictures from our December and to ask you to pray for a few things:
  • We fly into Pal on Dec. 20th and return Jan. 6th.  During the time, we hope to come alongside our missionary and Mesi co-workers and spend time with the new believers in N town!
  • Pray that we will encourage and support well.
  • Pray that we will stay healthy as Noah and I (Elizabeth) hope to help cover medical work while we are there.
  • Pray for smooth flights.  We are the last of five (5!!) scheduled helicopter flights on the 20th, and if our weather is bad we will likely be spending the weekend in a mission outstation.  We'd really love to get into Pal ASAP.

A Christmas feast, PNG style!  Earlier in December we celebrated with a traditional 'mumu' meal of chickens, yams and greens roasted in a large pit with heated stones and boiling water.  It was delicious and a great way to say 'thank you!' to our citizen co-workers.
Nate poses with one of Noah's classmates - getting into Christmas decorations!  We are serving as 'advisors' to the 11th grade students this year.  One of the ways that our students serve the community is to provide a 'restaurant' meal four times a year, and we put on a meal for the 'Christmas Festival' earlier this month. We're learning about hard work and service alongside these terrific young men and women.
Merry Christmas from our family to yours.  We love and miss you all!
