To make things clear...
After re-reading our last post, we wanted to be sure to clear up a few potential misunderstandings about what our time in Papua New Guinea will look like.
- We are still planning on a July departure! We have been in contact with the field and they have encouraged us to be planning on it. To that end we are putting in renewed efforts at making contacts and speaking engagements. We still have 70 daily prayers to recruit and are at about 50% of the required financial support. Pray with us that God will provide just what we need when we need it.
- Although our first year of ministry is shaping up to look a little different than we had originally anticipated, we are very excited to be a part of the work in PNG. We know that you will be praying with us for God to stir in the hearts of His people to come and take on whatever part of the ministry that He directs them to.
- We still plan on planting tribal churches that in turn plant tribal churches! This is absolutely central to our thinking. So, although we may be delayed in personally directing such work, we will be certainly putting fresh energy and assistance into the 67 works already in progress there. Pray with us that whatever we do, in all things, that we work diligently for the glory of God and the worship of His Great Name.
- Because of our delay, we are postponing solar purchases and housing plans. All of the gifts that we have received for these purchases will be sent over to our building account in PNG so that they can be used at the right time. We have most of the money for the solar-electric system, but are still saving for other building expenses.
These next couple of days bring a few meetings for us as well! Please pray for us as we speak at a local Christian school Wednesday, a Bible Study on Thursday, and at a church this weekend.
Thanks! Nate for us 5
