Rainy Days

A Mibu woman and child outside their home.
It has been raining or snowing every day for the last two weeks here in Northern California. The boys are going through two or three outfits each day - depending on the number of times we get out of the house. It seems like Tim and Noah are conducting long term scientific experiments with mud...
Tim: Yesterday I stuck my foot in and the mud squished up all around it..Anyway, there are a couple of things you can be praying about over the next few days:
Noah: Yeah, and it got all over my pants when I sat down in the puddle too.
Tim: ...but that was yesterday...
Noah: Lets test and see if the same thing happens today.
Tim: ...OK
Both: Splash!
Five minutes later...
Tim: I'm cold.
Noah: I'm cold too.
Together: Mommy, we are cold, can we have some hot cocoa?
- Strength. Transition is wearying. We are focused on reaching the people of PNG, but still getting used to trusting God for how He will use us.
- Relationships. We have two more weeks here in McKinleyville, and then we will be heading out on a month-long trip. There is little remaining time for us to connect with our friends and family and potential ministry partners here.
- Family. Elizabeth and I have been on very different schedules for the last two weeks and it has been hard to find the time and space that we need to maintain our relationship to the level that we are used to.
