A Rich, Full Day...

I woke up yesterday energized. Even before the sunrise, it was clear that we were to experience the first real day of spring (I know it sounds silly, but there were even blooms on the fruit trees for the first time). The morning was warm, the boys were extra rambunctious, and the outdoors were calling... too bad we had to pack up the house for our trip. I'll spare you the details of all that transpired over the morning, but suffice to say, by the time Elizabeth took Elias in for his physical and blood draw, we were all ready for a nap.

Just when I was breathing a sigh of 'almost done' the boys woke up. It was then that I noticed a raised, splotchy rash all over Tim's face. Peeling off his clothes revealed that a full third of his body was covered with cauliflower silhouettes of varying size. As I was bathing him in warm water, giving him benadryl, and puzzling over what might have caused the blotches, Elizabeth came home and explained that her wallet had been stolen at the hospital. No text could capture the cacophony of the moment... both of us on the phone with banks cancelling cards, Tim loudly insisting that he was not feeling well, and Elias telling the world in no uncertain terms 'somebody poked me and took some of my blood and I will not suffer alone.'

It was at that moment that Noah became once again 'Sir Noah, Defender of the Living Room'. He charged around the room with sword and lungs at full potency; swinging at any person taller than 3 1/2 feet. I had to laugh...later...ok, much later (as Elizabeth and I finished the evening out putting together newsletters). Anyway, we leave tomorrow on our trip. We look forward to the fun and fellowship that this next month holds. We pray too that we are able to encourage many people in their understanding of tribal missions.

Thanks for your continued prayers, Nate for us 5
