Happy First Birthday Elias!

Mmmmm mmmmm, good. - Elias July 16, 2007

Well this last week was a real red letter one for Elias who celebrated his first birthday (with an introduction to chocolate) and took his first steps. We are realizing more and more the passing of his baby stage - we were looking at some paperwork together this afternoon and, in a very short span, he climbed the stairs by himself (usually gated) and began an early supper consisting of some found cat food. You can be praying for us as we consider ways of helping him through the 24 hours of plane travel that we will be facing in about a month. We are sure that our future co-passengers would appreciate your prayers as well...

Well in other news, our express mail envelopes are ready to mail to Washington DC - as soon as we receive word from the folks in PNG that our work permits have been granted. One thing that we are concerned about is if they delay too long in granting our work permits, we might have to have our physicals and chest x-rays done again. Please pray that the paperwork goes through this week!

You can pray as well that we have special concentration abilities these next weeks so we do not miss anything important as we plan and pack. At the same time you can praise God for His provision so far!
