And They're Off

What was going to be a 2 day delay turned into an early departure for our team of house builders. This is Mason and three guys from the States who came to help us out taking off from the airport here in Madang.

Thanks for praying for us this week, it has been intense. From one day to the next our plans have changed based on red tape for our mission's helicopter and the availability of different folks to help out.
The good thing is that this story is not about us, rather it is about how God has us resting in the middle of what could be the most turbulent of times. By allowing us to send guys up early, we can determine what kind of materials are there on the ground (recall that we asked the Pal people to help us get posts and beams for the houses) so we can decide what we should send up this Friday and Saturday.
We are spending the next couple of days coordinating with trucking companies, weighing the last items, and organizing and prioritizing our loads. Once our loads of materials are sent in, Nate and another couple of guys will follow.
You can pray for our family as we have been working lots lately (yup, the boys have been helpers too!) and we'll soon be apart for a couple of weeks.

Please pray too that the guys don't forget anything important (nails?... uh.... didn't you pack them?...)
We'll try to keep you updated as things progress.
The Claasens.
