House!

Freshly back from Pal land, I have had just a few minutes to consider how God brought together the people and the materials in exactly the right proportions to make speedy work of erecting homes for ourselves and our partners.
Here are a few of the players:

This is Ray, our helicopter pilot. He flew around 30 sorties into the fog shrouded jungle dangling various building materials from the belly of the chopper.

This is Brian, mechanic and load-master. Along with keeping the chopper running, he helped us organize and build loads that would safely make it to Pal.

These are the builders: the Pal people along with our friends Dave, Dan, Mark, Aaron, Sam, Will, Tim, and Chris. Everybody worked 10-12 hour days for the better part of three weeks on the houses.

This is what it looked like before the work started.

This is what it looks like now.
Although we don’t have pictures of these guys in action, there was the Madang Center Team (Kyle, Joey, Joseph, Ace, and John). They worked tirelessly taking care of details, running around for extra supplies, and serving as the hub for communications and organization.
Will you praise God with us for the work that was accomplished, for the excitement of the Pal people, and for what He has in store for us there?
We hope to update you more just as soon as things settle down a little… this week is our regional conference and then next week Nate’s mom is heading back home… Thanks again for your awesome partnership in reaching the Pal people.
