One week in Pal...
Hands waving. Many, many faces. A long rectangle of red dirt on the ridge of a mountain. And...the poles of two houses being built in Pal territory! Yesterday we got to see the first pictures taken from housebuilding and we are praising the Lord for what has been accomplished so far.
ALL of the house posts were waiting for the guys when they arrived. This is nothing short of miraculous and was completely unexpected. THANK YOU for praying with us for this! Because of that, great progress has been made on the houses so far, with at least posts, joists and flooring in place - walls and the roof will most likely go up by the end of the week.
Men from some 5 different Pal villages have come to help at the work site. Amazing! We are praying this will be a time of relationship building as the guys work alongside men who have never heard the Gospel in their own language.
Thank you for continuing to pray with us that
-the remaining helicopter shuttles will be problem-free. Our pilot is flying sling loads of building supplies over the mountains, always tricky and sometimes dangerous.
-the men building will be free from injury and illness.
-God will be glorified through team unity and love.
-the Pal people would begin to hunger to know and hear God's Word!
The boys and I are doing fine...we're all missing Nate very much! We are so blessed to have Nate's mom staying with us during this time - a huge encouragement and help to me. The stomach flu is going around the center..please pray with us that we AVOID it!
We have been overwhelmed by the Body of Christ helping us - folks here in PNG sweating it out over building supplies and helicopter loads - and folks around the world, praying for us and providing for our needs just as they become known. What a privilege it is to be able to serve here. We wouldn't be here without you!
