Departure

Sorry Tim, we can’t take those paints on the plane…

Taking Leave

The last 8 months has flown by for our family. We have been blessed by all of you so very much. Now, in a little less than 12 hours, we’ll be beginning the return journey to our mountain top home in Pal. Thanks for praying for the boy’s paper work, it has come in time! What we’ll be taking with us are the nearly six hundred pounds (??!!??....ok of books, tools, clothes, and other life paraphernalia) the knowledge that we are part of a larger team in the work before us, and the hope that we have to share with our friends in the bush.

Pushed, prodded, and poked

We’ll not head directly from L.A. into Pal. The plan is to arrive in New Guinea on Friday (due to travel across the international date line, we’ll magically skip a day). We’ve got some meetings to attend, some shots to receive, some groceries to buy, and our family to adjust  before we can get back into Pal. We hope to be back in the village around the middle of the month. We hope to begin our regular posts again around that time.

No, boys, those are not the faces to make to the customs officials….

Thanks for praying (especially for the boys as we travel).

Nate

P.S. does anyone know where I can rent a gorilla that can carry upwards of 500 pounds of luggage? (I can handle the carry-ons myself)

P.P.S. He has to be tame.

P.P.P.S. And not eat much…
