Did you 'defender to pay'?
Elizabeth, the boys, and some friends from NTM wait for the helicopter along with our 2-months-worth of supplies.
So… about that ‘Smart Phone’.
Well, it goes to show that there are some things you should not do when it comes to technology. One of them it to try to write a blog post in the back of a moving truck on a touch screen phone... that thinks it knows what you mean when you try to type. I sure hope that, if you had hired a defensive person on our behalf, you did not withhold his wages, but I’d be most happy to hear that you’d remembered to pray for us last week as we moved back into the bush here in PNG. (If this sentence does not make sense to you, you can get in on the joke by referring to our last post.)
Adjustments
We are indeed back in the thick of things here – unpacking all of the household goods that we had stored, spending time with friends in the village, and admiring the progress that our partners are making in the language. We are encouraged as well that our own ears are hearing most of what they should be - even after our long absence. We’ll be starting homeschool in the morning and embarking on full-time culture and language study within the week. As always when there are new things that we are about, we’ll be expecting to make adjustments and to be taking time to help our kids through the rough spots.
Pray
We are excited about the work here in Pal and are looking forward to what the Lord will do. At the same time, we are up against a real fight. You can pray for our team – for unity and evident love between ourselves. You can pray for progress in these next several weeks as we study language and culture – especially in the area of being able to ask the right questions, You can also pray for wisdom as we respond to many fresh questions about what we are actually doing here.
Thanks so much for your partnership,
Nate for the Claasens.
