Graduation

Here we are again. Another graduation from our vernacular literacy school. These students and teachers have spent the last 4 months working daily to learn to associate the sounds of their own language with the symbols that they see in writing. We are so proud of them and thankful for the hard work that went into this new crop of readers.

One more exciting piece of news is this. At the graduation, we were able to publicly talk about building a new literacy school in the next Mesi village over. Also, as we shared with the community about how exciting this is for us, we were able to remind those assembled of the main reason that we are here – so that they can understand God’s Word for themselves. People from 3 other language groups were in attendance and expressed excitement over what it is that they see here in Mesi-land as well as the desire for something similar to come to their own villages. Think about that for a minute – 8,000 more people who are hungering for the truth. Who will go and tell them?

Thanks so much for your care for us,

Nate for us.
