So much to say, so little time...
Settled at last! We are back in McKinleyville for 2 whole months! (after a month with no more than 4 consecutive days in the same place, this is a significant accomplishment) Our boys seem to be OK with the transitions although Elias has taken to waking up an hour or so earlier than in the past. Thanks for your prayers for us in all of our travels and contacts - God is continually showing himself sufficient.
As for this next week, here are the projects that we will be working on:
1. Passport applications: including photos and all documentation. We will be turning them in by Friday to assure that we will get them back in time to apply for our work permits and visas in April.
2. House plans: we have a good tentative plan, but we need to finalize it so that we can design our solar power system (already in progress as well). We need to get these things rolling within two weeks.
3. Refining our messages: Sharing tribal missions is a real challenge. There are so many facets of the ministry and every church that we are speaking at has a different level of exposure (as well as different allotments of time in which to do it.) Pray for us as we work together before the Lord designing our presentations- we so desire that He is glorified in our sharing and people are able to respond to His prompting. (We hope to share some of our ideas and some of the ins-and-outs of missions here on the blog soon).
4. Hebrew and Greek Study: Elizabeth and I continue to try to block out time for this important work. Pray with us for clear heads as we memorize the unfamiliar. Pray too for diligence in these self-study courses.
5. Continued contacts with local churches: Noah came with me the other day - I could tell that he was trying to make sense of what we were doing as he said, "Dad, does this church need to know about Jesus?" Later, after some discussion about the ins and outs of why we needed to contact churches, he said, "OK Dad, we will only go to the churches that don't worship false gods." Please continue to pray for us as we seek ways to encourage the local church to be involved in global outreach.
2 Thessalonians 3:1 Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we ask you to pray for us. Pray that the Lord's message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you.
